Selecting the Proper Aqua-Rex® Unit


Pipe Diameter
Having decided where to locate the Aqua-Rex®, select the appropriate sized unit according to the pipe diameter. If hot water is provided by an oil or gas fired water heater then select the next larger size according to maximum output rating.

Water Heaters
We recommend maximum heat ratings for different sized units and this also varies according to whether they are gas fired, oil fired or electric water heaters.

Flow Rate
Flow rate is immaterial as far as Aqua-Rex® is concerned. The greater the flow, the more effective the units tend to be.

WK1
Max 1" Diameter Pipe
(If installed on a softener loop it can treat up to 1-1/4" diameter pipe)

Technical Data: The WK 1 transmits a series of low-frequency random sequenced radio waves ranging from 1 to 10kHZ, controlled by a micro-chip within the unit. A standard 110v power source is transformed to 9v AC (transformer included) and draws a maximum of 800mA with an antenna transmission of .75 watt.

    WK2
Max 1-1/2" Diameter Pipe

Technical Data: The WK 2 has a dual RF transmission controlled by four microchips within the unit. Output is 30V, derived from a 110V/9V transformer (included) drawing a maximum of 800mA with an antenna transmission of 1 watt.

Max 2" Diameter Pipe
For installation of re-circulating systems on Pools and Spas

Technical Data: The WK1-P transmits a series of random sequenced radio waves ranging from 1 to 10kHZ, controlled by a micro-chip within the unit. A 9v transformer converts the 110v power source and draws a maximum of 800mA with an antenna transmission of .75 watt. It is in a completely weatherproof casing for outdoor installation.
